Apologies

Apologies Apologies!
My last weekend was so short that I did not have the time to blog... and even if I want to, guess what, my computer died on me! It was the first time my computer has given me problems!!!
and I was having my SIT test (short for SITUATIONAL TEST)

Basically they give you a few situations about 12 and sometimes other situations might arise within that situation...(Not to mention making you shag by asking u to march and run long distances)Well all these are basically like a criteria(the reservist officers taking you will observe your behaviour during situations) for going to Commander school like OCS or SISPEC

As I was still in the midst of celebrating my good luck that my 2 previous fieldcamp were sunny and dry...SIT test came as a total morale drop to me.

The moment we reach the campsite it began to rain... and it wasn't drizzling, it was pouring...It was only in the late afternoon did the rain stop and we started pitching our bashas which is like a tent but smaller...Right after we pitch our basha, we were given some time to learn how to tie different kind of knots. There were lots of knots to learn and I could only remember a few even then I still could not remember the name. But hey now I know how to bond something #puns intended#

We then proceeded to learn various things depending on what role you are assigned to, I was assigned to the LAW aka Light Anti-Tank WeaponThe word light does not mean it is light, it is meant for light tanks, if you give me a heavy tank, that particular weapon will be useless. There were other roles too, like the navigator, signaller, demoman, medic, claymore expert and the minefield clearer.

Had our no movement timing at 1030 and fall in timing at 0600hrs the next day. The night was good and cooling until around 4am when it started to drizzle...My buddy woke me up, asked me if I would like to move to the training shed since water has started to drip onto him. I was too lazy to move and told him if he wants to he may go.Lazy me!

It was going to be a shag day for us and I must admit I did not know it would be that shag, I was lucky that my detail assistant accessor took us on short cuts but short cuts also meant a casualty(where we have to strectcher the person) and artillery drill where we are suppose to run!!!

Night came, time to sleep, as soon as we had our powder baths, it became to pour! All of us requested to sleep in the training shed as we did not want to sleep in our "waterbeds"!

It was really cold sleeping at the training shed but guess what not only do I have to suffer the cold,I had to sleep beside a 5 tonner(most powerful snorer in my platoon)!

I know I know! You must be wondering still somehow you will be able to sleep right when you get use to it after a while. You see the keyword is after a while. For me is a long long time! Unlike other snorers, this platoon mate of mine has no rhythem in snoring...It can sound like a 5 tonner starting it's engine very now and then or a motorbike starting its engine, it could oso be smooth flowing like a BMW engine and sometimes come to an abrupt stop as if realise there's a red light camera! The best part is, this platoon mate of mine could even congratulate me for braving the snore!PS: As if I want to! I had no choice, I was late could not find a spot so have to squeeze beside you when everyone avoids you! (Oh yeah, he happens to be my primary school(Loyang) classmate as well but I cannot recall him, apparently he was damm thin and now he is fat whereas I am big bone all the way!)

The next day went by quite fast, perhaps it's the thought of finally booking out, even though it may be a short weekend, it is nevertheless a chance to breathe singapore's air, check out gals, wear any other colour but green and yes, FRESH RATIONS!

Would love to show you guys the aftermath of my SIT test which is my rotten foot! Yes! Foot rot! But I figure such a website of mine doesn't render disgusting pictures!

jh out!~

Not boring not exciting, not lazy not hardworking, not handsome not ugly, not short not thin, not a bad guy not quite mommy's boy either. Regular Singaporean guy who like most guys probably get several different colours of the same shirt, t-shirt, berms, jeans once they fall in love with a particular design. Been through the era of cassette tapes of walkmans to discmans(remember the anti-shock technology) as well as MiniDisc(coming out at a bad time) which obviously lost to the emergence of mp3s and the CD to LD which saw LD losing out to VCDs. Next came the DVDs which 0wned the vcds and try to act smart by having 2 groups, HD DVD and Blu Ray. 2 words BLU.RAY. Loves to reminisce the old days when A&W rootbear float was still around and KFC was still a restaurant complete with waiters serving you Kentucky Fried Chicken. The days where bus fares were 10 cents for students and pizza hut's lunch buffets. Moves/dances to the jumpy music of Ipod Ads and likes to laugh at the Hello I'm a Mac, Hello I'm a PC advertisements!
