Trivia time

You know it's a Wachowskis' Brothers' film when you see a movie with a dialogue at one point of the show like this:

Evey Hammond: Who are you?
V: Who? Who is but the form following the function of what. And what I am is a man in a mask.
Evey Hammond: I can see that.
V: Of course you can. I am not questioning your powers of observation. I'm merely remarking upon the paradox of asking a masked man who he is.

V:
Voilà! In view, a humble vaudevillian veteran, cast vicariously as both victim and villain by the vicissitudes of Fate. This visage, no mere veneer of vanity, is it vestige of the vox populi, now vacant, vanished, as the once vital voice of the verisimilitude now venerates what they once vilified. However, this valorous visitation of a by-gone vexation, stands vivified, and has vowed to vanquish these venal and virulent vermin van-guarding vice and vouchsafing the violently vicious and voracious violation of volition. The only verdict is vengeance; a vendetta, held as a votive, not in vain, for the value and veracity of such shall one day vindicate the vigilant and the virtuous. Verily, this vichyssoise of verbiage veers most verbose vis-à-vis an introduction, and so it is my very good honor to meet you and you may call me V.

I tell you it's hard to actually look out every word in the dictionary under V and make a sentence out of it. And they managed to do it so well. Go look up the
dictionary to check on the words, it's kinda mind blowing and deep... *think Matrix.

p.s : Failure To Launch gets 2.8 out of 5 paintballs. It is something we Singaporean guys want to do but doesn't have the $ to do so. Land in Singapore is expensive man! Owning a HDB before you start a family is so rare!
p.p.s : The Hills Have Eyes gets 3.5 out of 5 mutants. Man, it is really gorry! A pity they cut away the rape scene. It would have further justified the fear of the female lead when the mutant told her that he'll come back for her!
p.p.p.s : That's 47 V begining words in that introduction of his !Woah! The more Woah thing is that there are not made up words!

Almost done, just one more to go...

So i have applied TMC for Distance Learning for a degree with Monash.
I also applied SIM-UOL Bsc Business...
On top of which I have and also hoping everyday that NUS/NTU will reply me about my application. Needless to say, if I actually apply it means I want it to be successful.
All the above have kept me busy from Feb till now, with movies, gatherings, birthdays, shopping included. Oh and guard duties...
And now, I have only about 12 days to submit my SMU application...

So roughly less than 7 more months to go before National Slavery is up. It will be all over... And if everything goes well, National Slavery might be over in 4 months time.

p.s : Watch Yours Mine & Ours if you wish to know what it is like if 2 sets of different kids try to bond together... let's see 2.6 out of 5 siblings
p.p.s : V for vendetta teaches us many many things. That one person alone can start a revolution. That people should not be afraid of their governments. Governments should be afraid of their people. Great acting from Natalie Portman. Another great one from the Wachoskis Brothers who also brought us The Matrix. Nice CG effects with the blades. 4 out 5 V. So remember remember the V th of November...

p.p.p.s : Happy Birthday to my blog btw...

time is running out...

Yes time is indeed running out for me... In Feb, I had been rushing to send my application to NTU/NUS. Now in March I realise deadline for SIM-UOL programme deadline is also coming if I want to start school in Aug. Then there's also SMU which closes application for intake year 2006 in April. All the above plus TMC Academy, which provides distance learning for some degree programmes from Monash which closes in June for the late July intake. But I need to send in my application soon If I want to know how much credits I am entitled.

So busy filling up and photocopying results, testimonials, certs, 300 words, 500 words, 1000 wrods. Type until I start spelling wrognly. Gibbreish heer.

Visited the CaeRer fair, got trikc into taking a career profile test for this G*K company which I l8ter on realise was just another of those MMC kinda company. Not that I am against them. But I know I just can't sell the things/ideas/plans/products. So please a/m copmany please stop calling me and asking me to go for interviews/meetings.

The quarterly IT show was another event which ben pete & me stopped by, the Nintendo Girls were so white/sweet/pretty in their promoter clothes. However, if I want to get a handheld console, I rather get a PSP. Xbox 360 display was a dissapointment as they did not have Fifa 2006 which I played during the CocaCola World Cup Tour. The games displayed during the ITshow was dissapointing, imagine going at 260miles per hour on the screen yet it feels so slow...

The main exhibition were normal and usual. I quote what I overheard, "come here every time for the IT show, everytime see same things." Well my reply to him is, then u stick to your 14" CRT monitor pentium 2 system lohz.

Fifa World Cup Trophy

You know it's your lucky/special day when someone hands over a bunch of tickets(the ones pictured below...) to you

TrophyTix

but guess what, during the evening when ben & I went back to the same place... Tickets are no longer required! It suddenly make me feel not so special afterall but since everyone get this, I guess I shan't complain! *see below

Fifa Trophy

But oh well. Many thanks to julian from youth.sg for giving me a chance early on to go catch FIFA WORLD CUP TROPHY live in the flesh! Trophy is 36 cm high and is made out of solid 18-carat gold. Weighing 4,970 grams, the base of the trophy is made from semi-precious malachite and has space for 17 tiny plaques to bear the name of the winners - enough space for potential World Champions all the way to year 2038. A pity I couldn't touch it...

About

My Photo
Name:
Location: Singapore

Not boring not exciting, not lazy not hardworking, not handsome not ugly, not short not thin, not a bad guy not quite mommy's boy either. Regular Singaporean guy who like most guys probably get several different colours of the same shirt, t-shirt, berms, jeans once they fall in love with a particular design. Been through the era of cassette tapes of walkmans to discmans(remember the anti-shock technology) as well as MiniDisc(coming out at a bad time) which obviously lost to the emergence of mp3s and the CD to LD which saw LD losing out to VCDs. Next came the DVDs which 0wned the vcds and try to act smart by having 2 groups, HD DVD and Blu Ray. 2 words BLU.RAY. Loves to reminisce the old days when A&W rootbear float was still around and KFC was still a restaurant complete with waiters serving you Kentucky Fried Chicken. The days where bus fares were 10 cents for students and pizza hut's lunch buffets. Moves/dances to the jumpy music of Ipod Ads and likes to laugh at the Hello I'm a Mac, Hello I'm a PC advertisements!
