postscripting the life of an average singaporean guy

Things to note...

When in Malaysia,

- learn to appreciate singapore's distilled water, it's purer compared to salty water.
- out of 10 cars u see on the roadside, 9.5 are protons!
- Bring water camera for capturing of pictures of fishes when snorkelling..
- when being bitten by fishes who thought u are fish food, move!
- No picking up of seashells they say, who cares?
- bring bread wrap in plastic so u can attract the fishes to you.
- it may be fun to easily spend 9 hours of journey in the night going there, but coming back home is really a torture during the day!

that's about it.... stay tuned!

I'm alive....

For those wishing that i had not been able to make it back to Singapore safe & sound. Well, too bad... True that the bus journey nearly killed me... But i have survived. Wouldn't it be interesting if survivor had film in one of the resorts @ redang? Oops... off topic... Pictures will be posted as soon as I can get from my friends.

Anyway, was feeling quite fine after the tiresome and torturous journey. My best friend been posted to BMTC camp... Might be my future sergeant but then I'm heading school 1 and he's at school 2...

Month of June is coming... Star of Gemini has entered the calendar. Star of Cancer is awaiting... I have lotsa mixed feelings for this coming July... Maybe it's the NSF-conversion-course. Maybe it's because, I am scared. Maybe because I'm a sad sad lonely man? Maybe because I have started to have doubts about my life once again, the feelings almost like the period I had when I was awaiting my poly posting results after missing out on the previous year... Maybe I have been infected by the distilled water @ redang. OR maybe I just need some rest... I'm not too sure but somehow someway something's missing in my life. My HEART feels like a thousand tonnes, so heavy...

To those people who really thought that I went to redang with 15 beauties to film the "Bachelor: Singapore version", please wake up! I don't happen to see it happening in my future.

PS: Guys, I had fun on the trip! Hope you guys too. Must make full use of our civilian days!

Been Kinda Busy....

Had some glitches in my FYP assignment that i handed up to school so had to go back to school on thursday. While slogging thru work from Monday to Wednesday... Man I dunno how i survive till thursday. The thursday off that I took was kinda worth it. Had a better rest. Met Benjamin and went for a sashimi buffet! Woohoo! It Rocks. Next we caught Troy, yes it's my 2nd time watching. I think the show is really great. Sorry girls, if you all should have found out by now the character Achilles is GAY in the actual story... haha.

I digress. It's saturday! Later at night going to sentosa chalet for a pre birthday celebration of Huishan another of my primary schoolmate.

Guess what! Tomorrow night! I'm leaving for Redang!!! Can't wait!~ that's all for now. As you can see there are some minor changes on this web, do browse thru ya?

The Patriot...

Before they were soldiers, they were family. Before they were legends, they were heros. Before there was a nation, there was a fight for freedom.

Let's see I'm in the midst of reliving the show The Patriot again. Quite a good movie with mel gibson inside. I felt the patriotism in the show. The theme of brotherhood can be found throughout the show.

Anywho, somehow this week just ain't my week, maybe next week will be my week?Even 1 of my favourite TV series, Smallville, I'm watching the last 2nd episode of smallville(yes! downloaded from USA!) couldn't do anything. I guess it's because Lex is showing signs of courting LANA LANG(major spoiler! haha) Although Clark will never get Lana (he got Lois Lane instead, in case you donno), but Lex and Lana just ain't right!

Went out to celebrate the 21st birthday of Meiqi(Primary school classmate!) with about 10 of us. Had this nonya buffet lunch @ Lion City hotel which cost $12+++. Not very fantastic as it only has 20 dishes but then again, you can't complain for that price. Meiqi was tricked into coming out with us, becos of the girls ask her to accompany her to the doctor.

Anyway it was fun times together. Hope she enjoyed herself today with the surprises! Her present? A bikini, kudos to the other girls' idea!

It's been a long week

Issit me or what? Now that my pay has increased about 3 fold. My day in the office seems extremely slow... Before this, I had easily come and go in the office.. Hell I even remembered how easily time was passed. First in the morning ard 10.15am there's a break, next before you know it. It's lunchtime! Then there's a 3.15pm break. Finally once it reaches 4.30pm, the clock seems to have speed up...

I feel so bored, but then again the good thing is I'm being paid. I guess I can't really complain... besides I have a redang trip coming soon. Can't wait to relax!

A Roundup...

Updates*
Added more movie reviews on Others
Edited About Me
Updates*

Presentation was alright except the fact that one guy who did not come for his scheduled time earlier in the day jump in front of nigel and I. Eating 35 mins of our time. So by the time we got in and presented just halfway through, we were force to end it earlier because the lecturer was impatient and wanted to go home as there was another batch of students presenting at 4.40pm(we entered at 4.35pm). If I don't get an A at least for my Final Year Project, I'm blaming that guy!

After that, Nigel drove to pick Gen up from her place then grab some food at the newly reopened Chomp Chomp @ serangoon and proceeded to anand's place.

Andre, weiliang, rosz, derek joined us later. Watched Eurotrip on the laptop that we had borrowed from the company, a hilarious yet gross show I would say.

Went to Benjamin's place on saturday late afternoon then headed to Marina South @ around 6pm for michael's post birthday celebration. Peter had also driven boon and mike there. We played arcade for a while until about 7.30pm when John came and joined us. Benjamin got a fine of $50 for parking on double yellow line. Just our luck, the place that we were sitting, we just could not see the people coming. Felt obliged to share the fine with him, as we could not find a parking lot at first. Now I know, If I get a car next time. No way i'm gonna risk parking on double yellow line unless it's really for a while.

After dinner ended, we went to boon's workplace @ orchard towers, a place called zombie. The band playing there was not too bad. Had a couple of mugs of beer since boon went to buy without asking so no choice. :P

Ben drove me to 1 of my poly classmate, Austin's place @ chinatown. My Poly form class was having a sort of celebration for finishing Poly. There they had 2 bottles of alcohol and cans of tiger beer. I didn't drink as I am not really a drinker. Paul & James were officially crowned champions of alcohol drinking. Yinghui comes in a close 2nd. The host and my project mate of years Kang was entertaining us a lot. Yong was busy filming our XIE ZHEN JI while Yaohui and me was playing Winning 11 on PS 2.

Went for a late late supper or early early breakfast @ 3.30am at a nasi lemak store @ chinatown. Wanted to go home after that, but realised my key was dropped at ben's house. So had to wait for him to wake up around 9am before I can get it from him. Therefore went back austin's place and had a chat with yaohui while playing winning 11. It was good to see my poly form classmates again. We are no doubt the best class in our year! It's amazing how we(Yaohui Yong Kang Paul) managed to bond with James, Austin & Yinghui, because we were 2 different groups for nearly 2 years and seeing how we kinda merge and bond well is really great.

Well after playing Winning 11 till about 8am. I left the place while Yaohui join the other guys sleeping in the guest room. I fell asleep in the bus on the way to Ben's place.. Too tired I guess, Woke up to find myself near Michael's house. Got down took a bus back. Nearly missing ben's stop again because I felt asleep again. Anyway had to wake ben up cos his family had gone out for breakfast without him as he was sleeping so he pass me my key and i took a bus home. Again, i fell asleep on the bus and ended up at queenstown. Had to take a bus back this time I forced myself to open my eyes. Haha. Finally got home around 10.30am. Took a quick shower before going to bed. Slept all the way till 6pm before getting ready to go to the chalet the Qianhui & Adelene organised.

Originally the plan was that I would stay over at the chalet since its at pasir ris and go to work the following morning. But I guess the plan didn't go well, had not eaten anything since I woke up at 6pm so by the time i reached the chalet I was grumpy already. The fact that the food ain't cooking fast enough due to the small pit didn't help. What's worse was the aircon in the room wasn't helping, seems to be blowing hot air out. That chalet located there wasn't windy due to it being blocked by other chalets and seriously the chalet was quite boring!

As I said, originally the plan was that i would stayover and go work there the next day. Alas, I cannot take the heat, the tiredness of me and the boredom I decided to take a cab($19.95 wtf!) home! Although it's expensive and I usually tend to save, but the fact is I'm willing to spend that amount to go sleep on my own bed shows just how bad the chalet's room was.

Slept for 5 hours and got up quickly to prepare myself for work. Nigel picked me from Pasir Ris MRT and headed to work. The morning passed quickly and soon lunch beckoned, went to fetch andre & anand to renew passport @ tampiness safra. To my dismay, it's opening hours was from 2pm-9pm. Thus, decided to come back again after work, had a quick lunch at MACs and headed back to work.

Held a short meeting with the boss and discuss the plans for our project in the next 2 weeks. Time passed by so quickly and before we know it, knockoff time! Managed to get our passports renewed this time and headed to downtown east to meet the rest of the guys, played arcade for a while before going home to catch an Eye for a Guy & the finale of SURVIVOR: ALL STARS.

Finally, I've reached tuesday. I wonder why but today time seems to pass by so slowly... maybe it's the fact that i used to get wednesdays off for about 3 months and since I am now officially converted from an intern to a temp staff, If i want to earn $ I have to work as sick leave and "school leaves" means no $! Once lunchtime came, my mood changed a later, had a quick lunch as i was too tired and wanted a nap to freshen myself up. Watched the latest movie that I downloaded, Win A Date With Tad Hamilton. Well not a good movie actually, worth like 2.2 stars only. Watch only if you are bored! Well lookie here, time to knock off soon. I pray tomorrow won't pass by so slowly... It's torturing!~

PS: people at the chalet I hope you take this blog entry as my apologia, I was a hungry man that night and seriously that chalet is boring and unhappening!

May Day Special

Ok.. So man utd lost and chelsea trashed Southampton. What can I say, I have to admit Man utd is not good enough this season. The upcoming FA cup match even if MAN UTD won, it won't be a consolation prize at all. This season has got to be their worse losing 9 league games... OMG... I just have to take heart that our 'Reserve' team didn't do the best. And Hopefully ferguson has got a plan next season. I forgive him even if there's no silverware this season as he is cleary building up a new squad of stars. But please fergie if you see this! Do something about next season!!!

Updated the song on this page, it's forgetful lucy taken from the 50 First Dates OST sung by Adam Sandler in the movie. It's just another typical adam sandler's ballad but he really has got a good voice!

About

My Photo
Name:
Location: Singapore

Not boring not exciting, not lazy not hardworking, not handsome not ugly, not short not thin, not a bad guy not quite mommy's boy either. Regular Singaporean guy who like most guys probably get several different colours of the same shirt, t-shirt, berms, jeans once they fall in love with a particular design. Been through the era of cassette tapes of walkmans to discmans(remember the anti-shock technology) as well as MiniDisc(coming out at a bad time) which obviously lost to the emergence of mp3s and the CD to LD which saw LD losing out to VCDs. Next came the DVDs which 0wned the vcds and try to act smart by having 2 groups, HD DVD and Blu Ray. 2 words BLU.RAY. Loves to reminisce the old days when A&W rootbear float was still around and KFC was still a restaurant complete with waiters serving you Kentucky Fried Chicken. The days where bus fares were 10 cents for students and pizza hut's lunch buffets. Moves/dances to the jumpy music of Ipod Ads and likes to laugh at the Hello I'm a Mac, Hello I'm a PC advertisements!
