Firewerkz

Today was the last of the final fireworks display from the Singapore Fireworks Festival, it will be a Hongkong team, the passed 2 USA followed by Singapore were displayed on 1st August and 8th August respectively. To be really very proud, I only squeeze through all the masses of people once on the way from suntec to one fullerton around 7pm. My primary school friends and I went scouting around at One Fullerton for a good spot, too bad Ronald didn't drive, if he had, I would have directed him to the field where the fireworks was set off.We finally noticed a car park of Neptune restaurant and decided to head up there, but we weren't contended with our location and since we notice another field that seemed accessible from the shenton way area and with more than 40 mins to spare, we rushed and walked all the way near the old Lau PAt Sat Area which is actually opposite the new one but near the sea. Unfortunately it is under construction thus the fenced up. We even found a door leading into the construction site and wanted very much to go thru the site but were conscious that it is such acts that might actually endanger ourselves. With 15 mins left, we decided to head back to the carpark we found, by the time we got there and got ourselves good seats using the railings, theree were more and more people who discovered the same carpark. Still we were not sure if our TV "view" will eventually be a great view.

When the fireworks came, boy oh boy, it's gotta be the longest fireworks display than our annual National Day one. Or is it that time just passed by so fast whenever you see something so beautiful?10 Mins was what I counted yet it felt so short when I was admiring them. Even the national day one did not seem that long. Oh did I mention our windowed view from the carpark turned out to be the best view, besides we were sitting down comfortably. # g0dspeed laughs and gloats @ the crowd at the pier and the merlion park and the esplanade and the nicoll highway bridge near one fullerton # We were at the 6th floor so we manged to get both a great view of top and bottom of the fantastic firewerkz.

Walked all the way to Chinatown (about 7 mins walk only) to avoid the Fullerton to City Hall crowd. Went to Hans for a drink at the Great Eastern Centre, boy that place is big and has quite a cosy environment or maybe it's due to the late night and the fact that it was a sunday night. Then headed to the famous porridge store at Chinatown to get moi truly a bowl of porridge.

Been quite a weekend memorable or not I know of but surely my Man Utd can do something to overcome a 1-0 lead by Chelsea in the 2nd Half?

jh out.~

Not boring not exciting, not lazy not hardworking, not handsome not ugly, not short not thin, not a bad guy not quite mommy's boy either. Regular Singaporean guy who like most guys probably get several different colours of the same shirt, t-shirt, berms, jeans once they fall in love with a particular design. Been through the era of cassette tapes of walkmans to discmans(remember the anti-shock technology) as well as MiniDisc(coming out at a bad time) which obviously lost to the emergence of mp3s and the CD to LD which saw LD losing out to VCDs. Next came the DVDs which 0wned the vcds and try to act smart by having 2 groups, HD DVD and Blu Ray. 2 words BLU.RAY. Loves to reminisce the old days when A&W rootbear float was still around and KFC was still a restaurant complete with waiters serving you Kentucky Fried Chicken. The days where bus fares were 10 cents for students and pizza hut's lunch buffets. Moves/dances to the jumpy music of Ipod Ads and likes to laugh at the Hello I'm a Mac, Hello I'm a PC advertisements!
