7 more days to BMT... BM BM BMT!

I don't know whether I should be happy or not. As there are things I have not experience just yet. I planned to stay in seclusion over my next 4 months. That is if possible, yes, provided I do not get distracted by people asking me to go out. Anywayz, I pray that my 16 weeks of BMT will pass by quickly and then by end November, I can passed out as a different man. After that I will left about 1 Year 9 months of service with the government, that I hope to get thru quickly. I realise I have lost half of my audience(mainly females) for talking army stuffs. I apologise, as my mind is midway into transition to just obeying commands pretty soon... haha.

I was told that to live thru the army, you have to look on the bright side of it and NS will just breeze past you. I have always been a person who looks at both the bright side and the dark side, damm no wonder I can never be a true Jedi. # puns intended # I quote : "Winston Churchill did say before an oppurtunists sees oppurtunities in every difficulty while a pessimist will only see all the difficulties in every oppurtunities." I am somehow in between, I recognised the fact that the government is going to pay me to slim down.(and hopefully I can survive thru and lose as much weight as possible) but I also realise I'm going to be disconnected with the outside world, no special someone to care for, and many other stuffs, I seemed to be depressed, this is not good... So i guess I'm more of a pessimist ar? What I do know is, when I'm going thru difficulties, I always believe that something good will happen to me? So again back to square 1!

I digress. Caught the NDP on both TV mobile while on my way home and the later part where the fireworks comes alive on TV. Yes I missed the middle, but the only thing I have always liked about NDP is the marching contigents and of course the crowd-pleasing firewerkz. Although it cannot be compared to the current Singapore Fireworks Festivals held just beside the Esplanade which feature Fireworks almost every sunday since beginning August, the last one being on 15th August. For your information, I watched the NDP's fireworks from TV since my block is facing away from the stadium. Singapore Idol came on next, it was hilarious to see how the judges react to some? And how some go all the way just to get their 15 mins, I'm sorry it's erm 2 mins of fame but that's enough to leave a "haunting" memory on all viewers I guess. The Shanghai guy, Rocky, my sympathy goes to him, but the current music industry is not suited for classics voices.

I do feel glad I wasn't selected to go thru, since I did quite badly freezing on the spot and forgetting my lyrics during the Round 1 Audition. But there were some other really bad ones out there on TV last night which I really wonder how they get thru Round 1, I guess I wasn't lousy enough to create media attention like Goh Jia Hui whom Dick Lee sarcastily asked it will be interesting to hear what the original song sound like in the first place. I'm sure given a choice, the judges will just want singers who really can sing rather than have nonsense people who just want their faces to be on TV. Too bad, this is TV, and being a reality TV programme, as long as you can make people laugh or rather catche the masses attention, up on TV you go!

jh OUT!~

Not boring not exciting, not lazy not hardworking, not handsome not ugly, not short not thin, not a bad guy not quite mommy's boy either. Regular Singaporean guy who like most guys probably get several different colours of the same shirt, t-shirt, berms, jeans once they fall in love with a particular design. Been through the era of cassette tapes of walkmans to discmans(remember the anti-shock technology) as well as MiniDisc(coming out at a bad time) which obviously lost to the emergence of mp3s and the CD to LD which saw LD losing out to VCDs. Next came the DVDs which 0wned the vcds and try to act smart by having 2 groups, HD DVD and Blu Ray. 2 words BLU.RAY. Loves to reminisce the old days when A&W rootbear float was still around and KFC was still a restaurant complete with waiters serving you Kentucky Fried Chicken. The days where bus fares were 10 cents for students and pizza hut's lunch buffets. Moves/dances to the jumpy music of Ipod Ads and likes to laugh at the Hello I'm a Mac, Hello I'm a PC advertisements!
